Ian and Tracy welcome you to Wayside campsite
Nestled in the picturesque South Shropshire Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the outskirts of Aston-on-Clun.
Wayside is perfectly located for any type of holiday you’re looking for. For those looking for a quiet getaway, then the nearby towns of Ludlow and Church Stretton offer
relaxed shopping, dining and quaint local shops within picturesque surroundings. Walkers of all ages and abilities are catered for with a range of hikes, from gentle strolls around the village green to easy access to the Shropshire Way.
Hopton and the Long Mynd are close by for cyclists, with tracks for every skill level.
Wayside is a quiet campsite on a gentle slope, that has easy access from the road. Located in a rural setting, within walking distance of the small village of Aston-on-Clun, nearby facilities include a real ale pub, shop and village hall. There’s also a train station in Broome.
Our immaculate onsite facilities include toilet blocks with showers, motorhome service point, waste facilities and washing up area with freezer and microwave for guests use.
We have recently opened our on-site bar for you to have a drink and unwind and maybe a game of snooker. Wayside Bar is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 2pm and 4pm – 9pm, food is served 5pm-8pm.
Local tourist information is on display so you’ll be kept informed of nearby attractions and events. Dogs are welcome at Wayside, but we request that they are kept on a lead at all times.
There are a number of places to eat nearby whether you are looking for a teashop, good pub food or fine dining restaurant.

Wayside Lodge is perfectly situated within quiet surroundings of the campsite, our lodge sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms and has its own private garden and hot tub.
A charming country retreat, with all the home comforts and a whole lot more. The perfect base to explore the Shropshire Hills.
